As experienced primary school teachers and mothers, we believe parents don’t have a clear understanding of what it means for their child to be ‘ready for school’. Many parents also don’t have the knowledge or confidence to make an informed decision of when their child is ready to start school, which is not necessarily the Kiwi milestone of their 5th birthday.

There is an overwhelming amount of information, resources and activities available for parents to purchase. This is often a stressful and confusing time for the parents as well as the child.  To support parents our website will provide guidance to ensure the best choice for their child’s needs for starting school.
